Hipstrings along!

Our friends At Hipstrings are going through a tough time right now. If you haven’t heard, Nik has been diagnosed with a rare lymphoma and has been undergoing chemo since April. Laura, Leslie, and Jillian want to show them our support and love so The Knitgirllls and Jillian are hosting a Hipstrings-Along in our Patreons

Dates: November 1 – through December 31.

How to participate: Use Hipstrings fiber or yarn to craft in any way – spin, knit, weave, crochet, stitch, felt, if it’s crafty it’s good. You can use Hipstrings fiber or yarn you already have, or buy new. You can use this as an opportunity to finish a Hipstrings project you already have going, WIPS are welcome! It would be great if you talked about your projects and Hipstrings on any of the social media you are on. We really want them to feel the love.

Fun bits: We’ll host the Hipstrings-Along in both the Knitgirllls and Jillian’s Patreon Discords We’ll have two Zooms to hang out and craft - a kickoff zoom on November 8th and a Grand Finale Celebration Zoom on January 3rd There are prizes! There will be four $25 gift certificates to Hipstrings up for grabs. The prizes will be awarded on a points basis. You can earn points in the following ways. 1 point for every four ounces of fiber spun and finished 1 point for every skein knitted or crafted with
Yes, if you spin 4 ounces and craft with it – you get 2 points, 1 point for every 5 social media posts You’ll enter your points into a google form and the people with the most points win a prize. In the case of a tie, there will be a drawing. The second prize will be awarded at random. Two winners will be drawn from The KnitGirllls Patreon and two winners from Jillian’s Patreon.
